About Us

Bodwell Summer Programs (BSP) is one of the biggest and longest running summer English programs in British Columbia, with a focus on fun and engaging language support.  Since 1992, BSP is an experience that participants come back for year after year.

Bodwell offered the first campus-based summer program for international youth ages 9 – 17 in Western Canada. We have now
enjoyed more than 20 wonderful summers. Participation in our program is an unforgettable experience and we are proud to host a
truly multicultural program with students joining every year from over 20 different countries! Students learn English, have fun, experience
life away from home, make friends from around the world, and develop self-confidence. We offer a valuable opportunity for youth to gain inspiration for a lifetime.

New this year, students have the option to opt for our “Plus” four-week program, which comes with two overnight trips to experience locales in Whistler and in Victoria – these include exclusive activities like whale watching and a peak-to-peak gondola.

Bodwell is a private, co-educational, university preparatory, boarding school, located in North Vancouver, BC.  The strength of Bodwell High School’s international education program has infused its summer program with the resources and vision required to provide an education focused on love and care.

  • To teach English in interesting and effective ways, improving students’ conversation, comprehension, public speaking, and writing skills.
  • To bring students into different Canadian contexts: academic, geographical, historical, social and cultural, to stimulate learning and create unforgettable experiences.
  • To develop an appreciation for nature, art and diversity, and in the process, encourage expression, compassion, creativity and collaborative spirit.
  • To develop students’ self-confidence, interpersonal skills, and leadership potential.
